Support Women

We envision a long way ahead

Focus must be primarily on raising the value of the girl child within the family and society. On health side, to give special attention to women prone to anemia and malnutrition, which then perpetuate a cycle of poor health? Aging women and those with disabilities also need enough care. High illiteracy poverty and backwardness in terms of social indicators require special focus. To ensure that women must be treated as entities in their own right and not just as a resource person for the family.

We at AAS Women Club reaffirm that our common fundamental values including freedom, equality, solidarity, and respect for all women rights, are essential to development of society. We further promise that our commitment to empower women through education, vocation, motivation and inspiration, which leads towards their growth and sustainable development, shall be adhered to. We strongly reiterate our determination to ensure the timely and full realization of the Goals set by AAS Women Club.

We have provided guidance & assistance over the years to NGO’s, Government bodies and other authorized institutions which work for Women Welfare. We work for a social cause to rebuild a great society, culture and Country. Please come with your detailed plan. We will provide you the right platform, due guidance and requisite financial assistance.

We invite all who can help us make this site more informative and can volunteer to empower women.

VISION AND MISSION

VISION

AAS WOMEN CLUB is driven by the vision of a world where all women – in particular women from underprivileged backgrounds – enjoy full citizenship, earn a livelihood with dignity and generate wealth and value for all.

To create platform around issues of Gender justice, economic empowerment and equal participation in all aspects of life for women for the betterment of society, culture & country.

MISSION

AAS WOMEN CLUB mission is to equip resource-poor women with knowledge and skills so that they excel as professionals and entrepreneurs, and earn a “livelihood with dignity” in jobs and markets that had traditionally been closed to them.
We believe that when women are socially and economically empowered, they become catalysts of change – not just in their own lives, but also in their families and communities.

To develop a local, national and global communications and support network to establish links between government’s policy or schemes & foundation who share Mission for Women’s Welfare’s vision, and to reach women who are socially, culturally and geographically isolated.

We work with resource-poor women to enable them to:

imagine new roles for themselves
get opportunities to work in safe and respectful environments.
enhance not just their economic status but also their self-respect and dignity
build social capital as they transform their lives and lives of people around them.

About Us

AAS WOMEN CLUB has been working in India for over 10 years, focusing on Women-given a platform for self growth/grooming and personality development, ending poverty and social injustice. We do this through well planned and comprehensive programmes in health, education, livelihoods and disaster preparedness and response. Our overall goal is the Appreciation and recognition of Social Work done by women in different fields, empowerment of women and girls from poor and marginalised communities leading to improvement in their lives and livelihoods. We are part of the AAS NGO and working with various countries for a world where all people live with dignity and security.

Why Women and Girls?

In India, AAS WOMEN CLUB focuses on the empowerment of women and girls because they are disproportionately affected by poverty and discriminations; and suffer abuse and violations in the realization of their rights, entitlements and access and control over resources. Also, experience shows that, when equipped with the proper resources, women have the power to help whole families and entire communities overcome poverty, marginalisation and social injustice.

Women in India consistently lag behind the men in terms of access to education, health care, jobs etc. Apart from the economic and social inequality, women in India are victims of heinous crimes such as, dowry deaths, rape, molestation and immoral trafficking. As per the latest statistics;
The female child sex ratio (0-6 years) is 914 per 1000 males
Rural female literacy rate only 58% while rural male 78%
Women employment in urban areas is only 13.9% while in rural areas is 29.9%. With the rise in poverty, many women are forced to work in very low end and low paid jobs.
Employment of women in organized sector is less than 8%.
Women especially in the child bearing age often deficient in nutrition due to poverty. As a result the number of maternal deaths in India is one of the highest in the world and 87% of all pregnant women in India are anemic.

You can support this effort by contributing to the following causes to help in the empowerment of marginalized women.
